Venus Prison Ministry

Thank you for supporting this incredible ministry! After last week's testimonies, we received a significant donation. A portion of this contribution will go toward providing Mother's Day cards for the inmates to send to their Moms! If you'd like to contribute and help expand this ministry to this underserved and often ignored population, click here to donate and select "Prison Ministry" from the drop down menu! If you'd like to learn more ways to get involved, send an email, and we will be in touch!

We have compiled all of the thank you letters from the some of the inmates that received Christmas gift bags this year. Please take a few moments to read them and maybe even send a letter as well.

We regularly serve our community in a number of ways. Check out the list below and join us in being a blessing to our city.

Want to know more about helping out in one of these areas? Send us an email and we’ll get you all set up.

Venus Prison Ministry

We take the entire month for “Christmas in July” to raise funds to purchase items like soap, shampoo, and toothpaste to go inside Christmas gift bags for the offenders at the Sanders Estes Correctional Facility in Venus, TX. We then assemble and deliver the bags the Saturday before Christmas. This organization also helps organize worship services within the prison and marriage retreats for inmates and their spouses. Help our church family plan, promote and lead quarterly outreach opportunities to serve the city and citizens of Midlothian.

Pastor Mike Hogue heads up a group that delivers gift baskets to families who have just moved into Midlothian. Want to help share the love of Christ with this outreach to the community? You can donate coupons or items to be included in the baskets. If you’d prefer, you can be part of this team who delivers the welcome baskets. Finally, are you new to the area and haven’t received your basket yet?

Manna House

manna

MBC currently supports Manna House and its efforts to help struggling families in Midlothian with food and other financial help. Click here to learn more about Manna House and its mission. As a church, we contribute to Manna House monthly. We also designate the month of September to raise funds to feed the hungry of Midlothian through this Christ-centered ministry. Want to help now?  You can volunteer at their food bank. You can also donate items like gently-worn clothing and household goods at their thrift store—Heaven’s Attic—located in downtown Midlothian.

Volunteer for the Manna House food pantry & thrift store to help those in our community with benevolence needs. Contact Sissy Franklin (972-775-1800) and discover all the ways you can serve.
